Plot to Plot is a UK board for heirloom seed and houseplant swaps. It is for gifting and swapping only. Nothing is sold, and there is no way to pay another grower here.

Where the data lives

Offers, swaps, reviews, reports and private messages are stored in this app's shared database. Everyone using Plot to Plot sees the same board. It is not kept only in your browser. When the app is published, that database is Neon Postgres, shared by every visitor. Private notes are not end-to-end encrypted: the server stores them and only returns them to the two people in the swap after checking who is signed in. The published site is served over HTTPS.

Learn more does not guess an article address. When someone presses it, the server does this, in order:

1. Request https://grokipedia.com/api/typeahead?query= plus the variety name, limit 1. If the JSON includes results[0].slug, open https://grokipedia.com/page/ and that slug.
2. Otherwise request https://grokipedia.com/search?q= plus the variety. That is Grokipedia's public search page. Use it only if the request succeeds.
3. If the variety did not produce a working link, repeat those two steps with the plant type.
4. If none of those requests succeed, open a general web search: https://duckduckgo.com/?q= plus the name and “plant UK”.

Offers archive after sixty days without a real action (posting, editing, or messaging). A sign-in only adds a three-day grace period. Snooze, or any of those actions, pushes the clock back sixty days. Four new offers a day. Hide or remove a post from Moderation after you claim the desk.
